SPARK Capacity Assessment is a product of Defiant Solutions LLC. This policy describes what information we collect from you when you use SPARK, how we use it, and what your rights are.
What we collect
- Identity information you provide at intake: your name and email. Optionally your phone number and organization.
- Your assessment responses: the text you write in response to each scenario.
- Scoring data: the scores, rationales, and report-card content the advanced AI algorithm produces from your responses.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number. Stripe shares your name, email, and the fact that you paid; we do not receive billing addresses or financial account details.
- Basic technical information: IP address, user agent, and timestamps, recorded in server access logs for security and abuse prevention.
- Test-integrity acknowledgement: the timestamp at which you checked the honor-code box on the assessment intro screen, stored alongside your session record.
What we use it for
- Producing your scored report card.
- Delivering the report to the email you supplied.
- Following up on your results (e.g., asking what was useful).
- Improving the SPARK rubrics — aggregated response statistics inform the Phase 3 calibration study. Your individual responses are never published.
- Operating, securing, and debugging the service.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information to third parties.
- We do not share your individual scores, report card, or response text with employers, recruiters, or any third party without your explicit consent.
- We do not provide a "share with employer" feature. If you want to share your report, you do that yourself by sending the PDF.
- We do not use your data to train external AI models. Your responses are sent to our AI scoring service for scoring only; per that service's API terms, the data is not used to train its models.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@spark-assessment.com. We honor deletion requests within 14 days. California residents have specific rights under CCPA; we honor those requests on the same timeline.
Data retention
By default we retain your candidate record, your responses, and your scores indefinitely so you can return to your report. You can request deletion at any time as above.
Cookies
We use a small amount of localStorage in your browser to remember your in-progress assessment session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not run analytics that tie behavior to your identity.
